Baby Shower Time!

This Saturday I get to celebrate the upcoming birth of our second granddaughter, Genevieve Rose.  Two other daughters and I will be going to Little Rock for the shower.  I got the inspiration for this card from Pinterest and Jade at jadedcrafter.blogspot.com/2012/07/owl-punch-for-baby-shower.html.  The onesie is made from the Stampin' Up Owl punch.  How cute is that?  After I cut off the owl's feet, I turned them into a little bow at the neckline with a tiny silver brad in the middle.  And I love the fork technique for making little bows.  Now I need a BIG fork so I can make cute big bows.

August Card Buffet

Here we are at the end of August.  Summer is almost over, and Fall is on its way.  I look forward every year to turning off the air conditioner and opening up the windows.  I hope everyone had a fun, relaxing and productive summer.  Soon the holidays will be here too, so this month we will get a little headstart with a Fall card.  Next month we will try to get a jump on Christmas cards too.

Legos!

Who doesn't like Legos?  Okay, no one likes to step on them in the middle of the night,
in the dark.  But building with them gives kids and even their parents hours of fun.
All 5 of my kids are grown, but we still have the Legos, with no plans to get rid of them.
Grandkids will love them too!

This card is made with 1/2 inch circles.  Did you know those circles on Lego blocks are called studs?  And at night they become pointed like spikes (just kidding!).  This color scheme might be more appropriate for the boy or man in your life.

And here is a color scheme more suitable for girls.  Girls love Legos too!  The studs are made with a 3/4 inch punch on this card.
