January 2017 Card Buffet

Happy New Year everyone!  What a great start to a new year.  A new president and administration.  A new Occasions catalog along with Sale-A-Bration.  And it's a very beautiful day here in Fort Worth - sunny and 64 degrees.  That's picnic weather, right?  Maybe not, but it sure is beautiful.  This is the time of year I break out the Valentine sets to create some cards in plenty of time for Valentine's Day.  The new Occasions catalog has a wonderful stamp set along with framelits that I am loving.  I think this Occasions catalog is the best one I've seen in a long time.  With every $50 you spend from either the Annual or Occasions catalog you can choose a free item from the Sale-A-Bration catalog.  There is an adorable chicken stamp set which we will be using this month.  So I hope to see many of you this month to create some cute cards together.

Welcome to my blog and to another Midweek Throwdown with Operation Write Home.  It is such a privilege to be able to share with so many wonderful cardmakers so our heroes can keep writing to their loved ones.  Betsy's Blossoms from Stampin' Up was used for the birds and the leaves.  The colors are Daffodil Delight, Marina Mist, Lucky Limeade, Crumb Cake and Whisper White.  And for a little extra pizzazz, I placed some rhinestones on the eyes of the birds and randomly on the leaves.
