October Card Buffet

Happy Fall to everyone!  I am thoroughly enjoying the cooler weather that has finally arrived in Texas.  Having the windows open and the AC off is a true blessing.  Fresh air is wonderful!  Buffet this month will include cards to help us prepare for the upcoming holidays of Thanksgiving and Christmas.  It's never too early to get a jump on card making.

Happy Thanksgiving

September Card Buffet

I'm dreaming of some COOL weather.  Yes, it's Autumn but summer likes to hang on a bit longer here in Texas.  But the coming holidays will come to pass no matter what the temperature says.  Fall is such a wonderful time of the year with the beautiful colors of changing leaves.  The Sheltering Tree stamp set is a very versatile set to show all the seasons, so I hope you will enjoy making some Fall cards that can be used to celebrate Thanksgiving also.  And we can't forget to get a start on Christmas too.

Christmas Card Stamp-A-Stack 2015

Now's the time to get ready for Christmas - at least with your cardmaking.  I know, it still feels like summer here in Texas, but November will be here in a few days.  And before we know it we will be in the thick of all the celebrating that comes with Thanksgiving and Christmas.  It's such a wonderful tradition to send our family and friends a special handmade card with a heartfelt greeting.

As summer comes to an end, we start to focus on the upcoming holidays.  I truly miss the changing colors of the leaves that I so enjoyed in Minnesota.  So I love to make cards with colorful leaves, using Stampin' Up's new Vintage Leaves set.  And it's never too early to start thinking about Christmas cards.  Come join in the crafting fun and make some homemade cards to bless your friends and family.

4th of July VCMP - Challenge #6

I finally finished the challenges from day one of our party!  Yay!  JoAnn gave us a two card challenge of making a winter card in 2 different color variations.  The first one is made with traditional Christmas colors and has a Merry Christmas sentiment.  The second one is made with more neutral colors that can be given all winter long.  This one is a Thinking of You card.

Thanks, JoAnn, for such a fun challenge.  You really challenged my thinking and my ability to find the right paper in all my stash.  And thanks for all you do for Operation Write Home.  What a blessing you are!

November Card Buffet

HAPPY THANKSGIVING to everyone!  This is one of my favorite times of the year, when we stop to give our thanks to our Heavenly Father for everything He is and has done for us.  As a bonus, we don't have to give gifts either.  It's a time for families to be together and share in God's goodness.  It the world of stamping, it's a time to finish up with making Christmas cards.  I still have a long way to go before I will be finished, but I love it and am so thankful to God for being able to do what I love and share it with others.

Aren't these the cutest mini coffee treat cups?  Thanks to fellow demo Teresa Goff
for this idea.  They would make great stocking stuffers, teacher gifts, office worker
gifts or even adapted for other occasions.

Merry Christmas Snowflakes - Here is a new technique, at least to me, where you
sponge your white paper with color and then spray the stamp with Stampin' Up
Stampin' Mist.  It acts like a bleach.

Merry Christmas Polka Dots - Thanks to DeAnn Rauzi at
stampinonthecamasprairie.blogspot.com for some of the
ideas for this card.

October Card Buffet

Cards and Bows!  Yes, it is never too early to start thinking about Christmas when it comes to card making and crafting.  I love sharing card ideas with all my friends, and this is the time of year when I make lots and lots of cards.  I volunteer at a local food ministry, and I have been making their Christmas cards for the last 5 years or so.  It is a real blessing to me and I hope to all that receive the card.  I have 170 to make this year along with some sets of cards for a craft show.  So...I better get going.

Even with all the holidays upon us, birthdays still happen.  Wouldn't this be cute for a December birthday with Christmas Designer paper?  Hmmm...I just might have to try that.

 O Holy Night!
