January 2017 Card Buffet

Happy New Year everyone!  What a great start to a new year.  A new president and administration.  A new Occasions catalog along with Sale-A-Bration.  And it's a very beautiful day here in Fort Worth - sunny and 64 degrees.  That's picnic weather, right?  Maybe not, but it sure is beautiful.  This is the time of year I break out the Valentine sets to create some cards in plenty of time for Valentine's Day.  The new Occasions catalog has a wonderful stamp set along with framelits that I am loving.  I think this Occasions catalog is the best one I've seen in a long time.  With every $50 you spend from either the Annual or Occasions catalog you can choose a free item from the Sale-A-Bration catalog.  There is an adorable chicken stamp set which we will be using this month.  So I hope to see many of you this month to create some cute cards together.

Happy Valentine's Day - aren't the little envelopes just the cutest!

Valentine #2 - Valentines can be a little "grungy".

Happy Day Chicken - with new Hexagon embossing folder
inked and made to look like chicken wire

Dragonfly Dreams - another new stamp set with
matching framelits

July Card Buffet

In one week it will be August.  That means we are another month closer to Fall and cooler weather.  I long for this time every year.  The heat and humidity and I do not get along.  But on a positive note, there is no snow and ice.  And before we welcome August, we have one last Thursday in July for our Card Buffet.  And with a new catalog comes new stamp sets, cardstock and designer series papers.

OWH - It's a Bugs Life

Yesterday's Mid-week Throwdown is It's a Bugs Life.
I don't have a large collection of bug stamps other than butterflies.  Bugs don't rank high on things I like.  But this cute little bee combined with the honeycomb embossed paper fits the bill.
