4th of July VCMP - His & Hers Cards

Happy 4th of July everyone!  Welcome to my blog and the first challenge of Operation Write Home's 4th of July VCMP.  The first challenge was to make a His card and a Hers card using a sketch from OWH.  She chose sketch #161, so I decided to use the same one.  I love my oval framelits, so this was the perfect sketch to use.

OWH - May Bootcamp

The theme for May's OWH Bootcamp is Variety is the Spice of Life.  All products used come from Stampin' Up.  The Woodgrain ef adds texture to the Early Espresso background paper.  The Early Espresso and Crumb Cake cardstock along with the Soft Suede sponging add contrasting value.  By sponging the Soft Suede around the edges of the Crumb Cake pieces, you even get a "leather" look.  The Basic Black and Baja Breeze cardstock helps the images to "pop" and adds to the variety in color.  I also used brads to add to the texture of the card.

Card Details:
Cardstock:  Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Baja Breeze, Basic Black
Ink:  Early Espresso, Soft Suede
Stamps:  Noble Deer, Teeny Tiny Wishes
EF:  Woodgrain
Punches:  Modern Label, Word Window

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you are enjoying Paula's challenges in the Bootcamp too.  Happy Stamping!
