Ready to SWAP!

Swapping cards with fellow demonstrators is always fun and a great way

to get new ideas.  Our swap for this month's Bluebonnet Stampers

meeting is to use products in the new Annual Catalog along with

two embellishments.  I used the new Trust God and Papillon Potpourri stamp

sets as well as the new butterfly punch.  I punched a solid butterfly

from Daffodil Delight and then stamped the detailed butterfly on

vellum, colored it with Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie ink, punched

it out and mounted it onto the solid butterfly.

June Card Buffet

I hope everyone is enjoying the new Stampin' Up Annual Catalog.  It's a little smaller, but the layout is excellent.  This month we will be working on cards that feature some of the new stamps and papers in the new catalog. 

Card #1 - God Bless You

Uses the new Floral District designer paper and stamp from the Trust God stamp set.

Card #2 - Flower Flourish

Uses the flourish stamp from Everything Eleanor stamp set.

Card #3 - Kindness Matters

Uses the new Papillon Potpourri stampset along with the Floral District paper.

Card #4 - Blossom Flower

More Floral District paper with the Blossom punch flower.

Card #5 - Live Simply

One of my new favorite stamps sets, Betsy's Blossoms, is used here along

with the sentiment from the Trust God stamp set.





May Card Buffet

Here it is, the middle of May.  Card Buffet has moved up one week due to Memorial Day.  May we all remember the many who have fought to protect our freedoms.  Freedom is never free and it is so precious to all of us.  This is also the month when we say Good-bye to stamp sets, punches, papers, ribbons, etc.  It's always sad to see some things go, but we always look forward to the new things coming in June.  Change can be a very good thing.

Spring is definitely here in Texas, and summer won't be far behind.  Did everyone get to see the gorgeous Bluebonnets?  And with the change in the seasons comes a new Stampin' Up catalog with many new items and colors.  The cards this month and next month will feature some retiring stamp sets as well as the retiring In Colors.  It's sad to see favorite things go, but I always look forward to what is new.  Make sure you look at the retiring stamp list on the Stampin' Up website and get your order in before May 31st for anything you must have before it is gone.

Flower Garden Shadow Box Workshop

What a fun day we had last Saturday as we assembled our flower gardens. 

Who doesn't love a relaxing day creating with friends, especially in Judy Hogan's

wonderful Stamp Studio.  You gals did a great job!

April 21st will be my next Flower Garden workshop from 10 - 2. 

 I still have spots available, so please contact me if you would like to join in

 on the fun and friendships.  The cost is $20, and yes that includes

some original Zentangle Stampin' Up flowers.  You provide the 8x10 black

shadow box from Hobby Lobby, and I supply the garden.
