August Card Buffet

I hope everyone has been enjoying their summer.  I can't believe how fast August has flown by.  Kids are returning to school and thoughts return to the upcoming holidays and all the wonderful card opportunities that come with that.  When I had a garden, we were blessed at this time of year with the bounty that a lot of hard work produced.  The first two cards reflect that time with the use of Stampin' Ups new Farmer's Market Designer Series Paper.  So enjoy what is left of summer and get ready to welcome fall!

Pears - You're in my Thoughts

 Fruits & Veggies - Just a Note

 Bumble Bees - Hello

Flower and Bee - Feeling Special

July Card Buffet

In one week it will be August.  That means we are another month closer to Fall and cooler weather.  I long for this time every year.  The heat and humidity and I do not get along.  But on a positive note, there is no snow and ice.  And before we welcome August, we have one last Thursday in July for our Card Buffet.  And with a new catalog comes new stamp sets, cardstock and designer series papers.

June Card Buffet

Can hardly believe that tomorrow is the official start of Summer.  Here in North Texas, summer has been around for a while already.  But it's cool inside and time to create.  Instead of 5 separate cards to choose from this month, you will be making a set of cards in five different colors.  You will choose which embossing folders to use and which sentiments you want on each card.  And each card has an embellishment, and you will be able to choose the ones you want to use.

If you don't need a baby card, you can make them a birthday or get well
or thank you with a flower of butterfly embellishment.  It's your choice.

Thanks to Pinterest and Mary Jo Price-Williams at
technostamper.blogspot.com for the ideas for these cards.

May Card Buffet

It's that time of year again when Stampin' Up is ready to release their new catalog.  Woo Hoo!  It's always an exciting time.  This is also when we say good-bye to some products, some of which we will really miss.  But change is a part of life I guess.  So the cards this month contain retiring paper, or ink, or stamps.

Just for You - Good-bye to Maritime DSP and Coastal Cabana ink and paper

Think of you - Good-bye to Painted Blooms DSP, Four Frames stamp set and
Blackberry Bliss ribbon

You're How Old? - Good-bye to Just Sayin' stamp set and matching framelits,
Baked Brown Sugar ink, and Retro Fresh washi tape.

You're in my Thoughts - Good-bye to Four Feathers stamp set and Framelits,
Baked Brown Sugar cardstock and ink, Painted Blooms DSP, and
Truly Grateful stamp set

Life - Good-bye to Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack.

April Card Buffet

You're in my Thoughts
I saw this cute card on Operation Write Home, and I knew I
could re-create it using Stampin' Up products.

 Many Thanks
Two of my favorite stamp sets - Lovely as a Tree and
Work of Art.  Special thank you to

Happy Anniversary
When I saw this card on Pinterest, I fell in love with it (so to speak).
Thanks to Debbi at debbisdesign.blogspot.ca.  I added
the anniversary sentiment when I thought of my in-laws coming
58th anniversary.  Marriage is definitely a journey.

 Thinking of You
Washi tape adds a lot of color and the new Bow Builder
punch is so cute and fun.

Happy Birthday
We always need more masculine cards, and the sentiment
can be changed to fit the situation.

One thing I really like about card making is the opportunity to change the sentiment to fit whatever occasion you need a card for.  So when deciding which cards you would like to make, just remember you can change the sentiment when you come to Card Buffet.
