August 2016 Card Buffet

What a wonderful week of cooler weather we have been having in North Texas.  Temps in the 80's are such a relief from the 100's we've been having.  Fall is on its way, and I am so thankful for that.  I am also thankful for friends who are willing to share stamp sets that I might not have so that I can share new ideas with you.

Here we are in the middle of summer with temperatures exceeding 100 degrees.  Oh for a trip to the mountains.  But that is not possible so card making in my air conditioned apartment will have to do.  And what is a favorite summer snack or picnic staple - fruit or fruit salad.  This new stamp set - Fresh Fruit - has become a new favorite of mine.  These cards were such fun to make and I hope you will enjoy them as well.

June Card Buffet

Without really planning a theme for this month, it sort of ended up being "flowers".  I really love flowers,  The varieties and colors are endless.  Apartment living doesn't lend itself very much to growing flowers.  And the Texas heat can sure wilt them in no time at all.  The building next to my apartment used to be the Plant Shed nursery.  It was so nice looking at all the wonderful living things in the back of their building.  Now I mainly create them with paper.  Please join me and we will create lovely cards together.

May Card Buffet

It's that time of year again when new Stampin' Up products are about to make their debut.  That means some older products need to be retired.  So it's time for my annual "Going, Going, Gone" card buffet.  These cards are using retired stamps, inks, papers, punches, etc.  You have until May 31st to place an order for retired products.  The new comes in on June 1st.  Change is never easy, but without change, there would be no butterflies.

April Card Buffet

They say "Time flies when you're having fun".  I feel like we just met for card buffet, and here it is the end of April and time to meet again.  I guess I must have been having some "fun" this month.  It is my birthday month, so yes, I did have some fun.  Getting treated to Saltgrass for steak and then having cake is all it takes to make me one happy girl.  It doesn't take much to please me.  A special friend also gifted me with a new punch and stamp set which we will be using in this month's buffet.  Hope you can join me as we close out April.

March Card Buffet

Spring is definitely here in Fort Worth.  The bluebonnets are blooming, and that is always a treat for us.  The oak tree outside my window has budded and all the recent rain has certainly "greened" everything up.  Now it's time to get creative.  Hope many of you can join in on all the fun.

February Card Buffet 2016

It's still winter - right?  Well...it doesn't look or feel like winter here is North Texas.  So I guess thinking of Easter coming in March comes a little easier when it feels like Spring.  Easter is on March 27th this year, so we are focusing on this wonderful holiday.
