OWH Sunday Sketch Challenge #130

I recently joined the wonderful organization Operation Write Home.  I am part of a super group of crafters that makes cards for our deployed Heroes so they can stay in touch with their loved ones at home.  This is my first card challenge so I was super excited to give it a try.  All the products are from Stampin' Up.  The cardstock is Whisper White and Lucky Limeade and Floral District Designer Series paper.  Ink used is Lucky Limeade and Daffodil Delight.  Stamps sets used are Betsy's Blossom (a new favorite of mine) as well as Trust God.  The new Fancy Fan embossing folder was used on the green strip on the left side of the card.

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Super pretty...hope you enjoyed your first challenge. I peeked at some earlier posts...I love the circle flowers! TFS!!!

  2. What a beautiful card! Your interpretation on this week's sketch is so sophisticated. Lovely color combo too. Welcome to the OWH family!

  3. Oh, that's so lovely! And what a great interpretation of the sketch! (I don't even want to talk about my first one, when I thought everything was supposed to be absolutely literal to the sketch and came up with a card I ended up tearing apart and redoing before I sent it in for our heroes.)

I'm so glad you joined OWH and hope you enjoyed your first challenge! I LOVE this group. Not only for all the inspiration I receive from other card makers' challenge cards, but from the friendships I've made.

  4. Beautiful card. I'm so excited to be a part of this group & will have my first box to ship out next week!

  5. Beautiful card. I love the leaves as they remind me of autumn. Your pearls are a very nice delicate touch.

  6. Beautiful card, Marilyn! I just love this color combination, and the little pearls in the center of the flowers are a sweet little detail. Thanks for joining us in this week's OWH Stars & Stamps Sketch Challenge!

  7. I am so thrilled to be a part of OWH! You did a great job with this card! It is stunning!
