I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to do this challenge since I don't have any Texas stamps. Then a song came to my mind - "The Yellow Rose of Texas". The name Texas is based on a Caddo Indian word meaning "friends". I'm originally from Wisconsin, and I don't have any cow or cheese stamps either, so I think this is the way to go. Yellow roses are also my favorite rose too.
Very lovely! Did you use chalks or inks for your coloring? And your sentiment is perfect!
ReplyDeleteI sponged on the inks from SU - Daffodil Delight, a little More Mustard and Lucky Limeade for the leaves. Thanks for commenting.
DeleteYellow roses are perfect! The minutes spotte them in the thumbnail I knew it was Texas! What. Beautiful artistic effect too. Great job!
ReplyDeleteYour roses are stunning! Sponging the color add such an elegant look. Great job!!
ReplyDeleteThis is very pretty! I do live in WI and I only had one cow stamp. :)
ReplyDeleteI knew right away you must be from TX Marilyn. One of my closest friends in school had moved from TX to MD in 7th grade. I still remember her regaling us with Texas songs!
ReplyDeleteYour ink work is absolutely stunning on this card. I think our heroes will be quick to call dibs on this card. :)
