Hi everyone. Welcome to by blog. Feel free to look around, and I hope you will find something you enjoy, and that it will help to inspire your creativity too. This is the card I submitted for the April OWH Bootcamp. I found a card on Pinterest by craftysahmiam.blogspot.com and then made it my own. I am a SU demonstrator, so my products are usually all SU products.
I stamped the Mixed Bunch flowers in Daffodil Delight and then sponged Tangerine Tango on the edges to give it the two-toned effect. It's not very visible in the picture, but I used the flourish stamp from the Creative Elements set behind the flowers. The leaves and the frame behind the white cardstock is Lucky Limeade. The leaves were punched from the Build a Blossom punch, folded in half and then run through a crimper to add texture and detail.
When I originally made this card, I didn't add a sentiment. I think the simple design with the flowers allows you to add a number of sentiments, to suit the occasion. Thanks again for coming by, and I can't wait to see what cards you all create. Have a blessed day!
Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteThis is very pretty Marilyn! I have this stamp and punch set and don't use it nearly often enough. I wouldn't have thought to bunch three of them closely like this but it really creates a beautiful bouquet effect. Thanks for such an inspiring sample for this week's MWT.
ReplyDeleteOh, WOW ! Your take on the inspiration card is just lovely !!!! I saw the post on the OWH facebook page this evening and followed the link to your blog. Imagine my surprise when I saw my blog name/card mentioned as your inspiration ;) THANK YOU for the mention and for making cards for the troops.
ReplyDeleteYou are so welcome! I just loved your card. One of my card classes made it and I also submitted it for the April Bootcamp. The Mixed Bunch set is one of my favorites.
